prep your skin before you come

in order to get the best, longest lasting tan, follow these steps before you come in for your appointment:

• exfoliate your body 24-48 hours before your appt.
• wax or shave at least 24 hours before. if you wax the same day, your tan will not process in that area.
• plan to not shower for 24 hours after your tan, this will let it fully process and it will last longer. if you have to do anything after your tan that night, make sure its not water related or will cause you to sweat. water will mess up your tan.
• what you wear during your tan is up to you. about half my clients go nude, some wear panties only, some wear shorts and a tank. this is all up to you, whatever your comfortable in. keep in mind, if its covered your not getting color there. Guys, i require you to at least wear underwear or shorts, sorry! also, anything you wear will probably get stained. for after the tan, make sure you have loose fitting dark clothing to put on.
• come to the appointment with clean skin, no lotions, or anything else that may create a barrier on your skin. that includes not wearing any make up.
• most people don't have a perfect body, we are all different. there is no reason to be shy with me, i've seen it all, so don't worry about it. i'll make you feel comfortable.
• if you're planning on getting any manicures, pedis, massages, etc, its better to schedule those around the 24 hours before and after your appt. its best if you can do those things more than 24 hours before your spray tan.
• we sell soaps and lotions in the salon that are made to work with your spray tan. with the tans it is all about your ph balance, that is what will turn your tan to where it may look a little orange. i spray a prep spray on you before to curb this. but if you use the exfoliating soap we have and use those soaps and lotion while you have your tan, it helps tremendously. bar soaps are especially harmful for your tan.
• if it is raining or snowing the day of your appointment, it is recommended that you bring an umbrella and/or wear protective clothing - such as long pants, long-sleeved shirts and a sweatshirt.
  
• chapstick is great to wear during your appointment. it will create a barrier on your lips so they are still as pink as usual. side note ladies: you can put the chapstick on your nipples also, to keep them pink.
